Striving for Common Sense in Frederick County
Students are entitled to a high quality education, and Frederick County Public Schools should aim to meet the expectations of parents in our community. Parents deserve a voice in the instruction of their children, and they deserve more choices in how and where their children learn, along with transparency at all times.
Through greater fiscal responsibility and enhanced support for teachers, I believe we can right the ship on the struggling academics in FCPS. Join me as we strive for Common Sense policies that can transform FCPS and achieve greatness.
Policy Issues
Parental Rights
I support transparency in communication with parents, amending the destructive Policy 443, and giving parents a voice in the education of their children.
Fiscal Responsibility
Where is the nearly $1 Billion going in our schools? FCPS has a bloated overhead and finds new ways to spend money on unnecessary resources.
School Choice
I support options for families to find the best fit for their individual child - whether it’s charter, technical, remote or homeschool.
Academic Excellence
70% of high school students fail proficiency exams.
Supporting Teachers
I support higher teacher pay, as well as appropriate resources and support to enable educators to do what they love - classroom instruction.
